What we deliberately do not do

We never publish a precise location. An event is attached to a city, and only that cityʼs centre point appears on the map — there is no finer coordinate anywhere in what we publish. Photographs and videos have their metadata removed before they are served, including GPS, camera and software details. This is how the software is built, not a promise about how we behave.

We show no advertising, use no cross-site tracking, and sell nothing to anyone.

If you only read the site

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your browser and cannot follow you to other sites.

Our servers keep short-lived logs containing your IP address, used to keep the site up and to stop abuse. If something breaks, an error report goes to Sentry with your IP address removed and any email address masked.

If you have an account

We hold your name, email address, a hash of your password (never the password itself) and a record of your sessions. You gave us these in order to have an account, and you can ask us to delete them.

Material you submit

Photographs, videos, and the description of the event they document. We keep these for as long as the archive exists, because preserving the record is the point of it.

Where it is kept

Servers in Germany; files and backups in Cloudflareʼs European storage, plus one offline copy.

Removing something

If a photograph shows you, or someone you are close to, and you want it gone, write to [email protected]. Tell us which picture and how it relates to you — for example that you are in it, or that the person in it is your relative.

We ask this because an open removal channel attracts automated abuse, and we would rather not act on a request that comes from nobody. We are not asking for documents; a clear explanation is enough. Once we are satisfied the request is genuine, we remove the photograph.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. One email is enough. If you are in the EU, you may also complain to your national data protection authority.

Why we may lawfully do this

Documenting public assemblies is a legitimate interest and a matter of public record. Accounts exist only because someone asked for one.

Changes

If this changes materially, we will say so on this page.
